What You Can and Cannot Put in a Roll-Off Dumpster
Accepted materials, prohibited items and why the rules exist.
Generally accepted
Household junk, furniture, wood, drywall, flooring, cabinetry, roofing shingles, siding, yard waste, appliances without refrigerant, and most construction and demolition debris.
Never accepted
Wet paint, solvents, motor oil, gasoline, pesticides, asbestos, medical waste, propane tanks, batteries and tires. These are regulated and landfills will reject the entire load.
Conditional items
Refrigerators and air conditioners need refrigerant removed and certified. Mattresses and electronics may carry a per-item fee depending on the facility. Ask before you load.
Why it matters
A contaminated load can be refused at the scale, which means the container comes back to your property and you pay for a second trip. One five-minute phone call prevents that.
